Lision Enterprises LLC, also known as Laughtub (herein referred to as “Laughtub”) respects the privacy of every visitor/member to the Laughtub Website; herein referred to as “the Website.” Because of this, a detailed Privacy Policy has been disclosed for your viewing and understanding. Laughtub DOES NOT sell your personally identifiable information to anyone, for any reason! We dislike spam too, you know!

Laughtub maintains your personally identifiable information within Laughtub and does not disclose such information to any third party, unless required by law. We collect such information for purposes of distinguishing each member’s stories/jokes from the other.

We respect your privacy and appreciate your trust. We aim at keeping all information secure and maintain several safeguards that include a Secure Socket Layer, as mentioned above, firewalls, password protected areas, and the like.

Information We Collect

When you subscribe to the Laughtub Mailing List, you must input your name (last name optional) and your correct email address. By doing so, you will be able to receive one-two emails per day, from Laughtub, will funny stories/jokes.

Cookies enable ease of access to certain sites on your computer. Cookies may be sent to your computer from Laughtub and/or affiliates thereof. Cookies will be sent only for purposes of creating a user-friendly Website for you, the user. Cookies may be temporary or permanent. Laughtub will use your email address and/or other personally identifiable information for the main purpose(s) of sending you funny stories/jokes.Other information, whether part of such emails or their own separate email(s) may contain marketing, commercial, and/or informational messages. You have the option to un-subscribe/change subscriber settings at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of any email.

Such emails may include an advertisement, or advertisements. Such advertisement(s) will be handled within Laughtub and the advertiser(s) will not have access to the Laughtub mailing list. The advertisement(s) is created by the advertiser(s), or possibly Laughtub, approved by Laughtub, and sent from someone directly involved with Laughtub (i.e. the Founder) or on behalf of Laughtub (i.e. an email marketing company.)

We will also use your email and/or other personally identifiable information to contact you for non-marketing purposes. Such purposes may include, but are not limited to, the following: changes the Laughtub Website, new stories/jokes, winner(s) of the funniest stories/jokes, blog updates, and/or other updates.

You have the ability to opt-in and/or opt-out of messages, as mentioned above, by contacting Laughtub via the contact form on the “Contact Us” page. Or, you can easily unsubscribe from an email by clicking the link at the bottom of any email and following the instructions.

This condition may be waived if the following circumstances are met: (1) Laughtub requests your approval for your personally identifiable information to be released to a third party and you agree, (2) Laughtub provides an opt-in and opt-out capability for such information to be provided to a third party, or (3) A third party, such as government agency, approaches Laughtub and requests such information about you. Let it be noted that Laughtub may refuse to provide such information even under such conditions as listed and if such a decision is made, Laughtub is not responsible or liable for any situations, outcomes, or the like that may occur as either a direct or indirect result.

If an official law agency requests your personally identifiable information then Laughtub may, if able, decide what information be provided. Laughtub will, under regular circumstances, comply with such requests to their fullest extent. Laughtub may also provide such information to a law agency on the basis of “good faith,” or the like.

Laughtub may provide certain non-personally identifiable information to a third party for the use of advertisement information, promotions, contests, or the like. An example would be providing an advertiser with the total amount of users who have signed-up, in order to charge accurate advertising rates.

Laughtub may, at any time, disclose such personally identifiable information or non-personally identifiable information to anyone that Laughtub deems necessary based upon the following: (1) you appear to have/or actually have violated the Terms of Use, or this Privacy Policy, (2) You appear to have/actually have violated a law and are being prosecuted, charged, fined, or the like, (3) The safety/integrity of the Laughtub Website appears to be/or actually is being jeopardized, (4) The safety/integrity of any Laughtub employee, including the Founder, appears to be/or actually is being jeopardized, and/or (5) Users/Subscribed Members of the Laughtub Website appear to be/actually are being jeopardized. “Jeopardized” means, but not exclusively, that the integrity, security, safety, rights, property, or the like of the above mentioned are at risk.

Advertisers, Links, or other Third-Party Affiliates

Advertisers of any sort may be shown, displayed, discussed, or the like within the Laughtub Website, in emails you receive, or in other areas. Advertisers are not affiliated with Laughtub in any way, unless specifically stated. Clicking an advertisement, or going to an advertisers Website some other way, may result in the following: (1) The monitoring of your IP address, (2) Cookie creation and other tracking abilities, (3) The viewing of site content which you may not agree with.

Laughtub strives to maintain a family-friendly Website. Because of that, advertisements require approval before being initiated. Advertisements that are crude, rude, demoralizing, or the like, as deemed by Laughtub, will not be initiated.

If you click an advertisement, or go to an advertiser’s Website some other way, such information may be requested or required. Providing such information is your sole discretion. We need such information to distinguish your story from others that are submitted. We also need it to notify you if your story is voted as the funniest story for the specific email it is sent in.

Laughtub may use such information to contact you in regards to updates on the Website(s), promotions, stories/jokes, advertising related material, or other such marketing purposes.

If an authority, and therefore third party, contacts Laughtub about a particular member that is being considered unlawful, for whatever reason, Laughtub reserves the right to either (1) disclose any and all information about that particular member to the authorities or (2) withhold any and all information about that particular member. Laughtub is not responsible for the outcomes or decisions of choosing either option.

Laughtub reserves the right to disclose any, all, or no information to the proper authorities in the event that a member is noticed to be performing any unlawful actions in relation to Laughtub. Laughtub will not be held liable or responsible for disclosing/withholding such information or the outcomes that develop as a result of disclosing/withholding such information.

While Laughtub aims at maintaining security, there may be instances where information that’s deemed private may be exposed. When such information is exposed and/or obtained, either directly or indirectly, Laughtub cannot be held responsible or liable for any such occurrence or the outcome(s) thereof.

If you wish to have any information removed/altered within the databases of Laughtub you must contact the company and notify us of what information, in particular, you wish to have removed/altered. You may also change information by clicking the link at the bottom of each email you receive.

Laughtub reserves the right to decide on any aspect omitted from this Privacy Policy. Any such decision(s) is/are final and non-negotiable. Laughtub reserves the right to discuss any issues with a particular member but maintains the ability to have the ultimate and final decision. Such decisions are also final and non-negotiable. Under no circumstance can a member, or anyone acting on behalf of a member, initiate, take part in, file, encourage, enforce, and/or place anything along the lines of a class action lawsuit, misdemeanor, hearing, and/or trial against Laughtub, and/or The Laughtub Group, for such decisions.

This Privacy Policy will be updated periodically. It is the member’s responsibility to check the privacy policy regularly to note any changes/alterations/etc. Laughtub is not responsible or liable for errors/mishaps/or the like that occur as a result, whether direct or indirect, of a user/member not reading the most up-to-date version of this Privacy Policy.
